I had an intense fight in the middle of a swamp at night, with night-vision on, watching for their footsteps in the water, and shooting based on the ripples! The AI is a lot better than the original, for example, Bloodsuckers turn invisible and try to flank you, then they run up behind you and scratch you, turn invisible and run away again, then try to get behind you once more, etc. The story isn't that interesting, but some of the side quests are good. I'm near the end of the game now, and still enjoying it, though it's the atmosphere and the combat that holds it together. I think I've had a single crash since then. It's way more stable than the previous offerings, though I had trouble getting it to run on Windows 7 64 bit, it turned out I just needed to restart the computer after installing it.
